When Mikyah mastered long division, things came together for her.
“I used to feel like I was dumb,” she said. Now math is her favorite subject. She wants to be a doctor, like her grandma. And a missionary. She proudly recites the names of all the books of the Old Testament and describes playing church with her grandpa.
You have helped Mikyah blossom. The stable and nurturing environment that you provide through
your support of St. Peter Claver Catholic School has brought out the fourth grader’s leadership skills. She has grown in her ability to work through frustration and stick with challenging tasks.
“She has put herself out there as a leader,” Principal Terese Shimshock said.
