Braylon could not contain his excitement at St. Peter Claver’s First Trimester Awards. When his name was called, he flew up to receive the award for excellence in Physical Education from Principal Terese Shimshock. When his name was called a second time for an Academic Excellence Award, he jumped around and did a little dance, his braided hair bouncing. As he settled back in his seat, he got a big hug from teacher Ms. Chantland. “My parents are going to be so proud of me!” he said to everyone around him. Braylon wasn’t the only happy scholar! There were smiles all around as we celebrated the success of our scholars so far this year.
